Stoebich Fire Protection GmbH managing competences through Persis

Headquartered in Goslar, Germany, Stöbich Fire Protection is a global technology leader in preventive fire protection. From its current four locations in Germany, eight foreign branches and 35 international sales partners, this global and highly decentralized enterprise has chosen the Persis HR Portal to manage and harmonize its HR processes.

Persis is implemented quickly. To augment the basic "procurement" and "integration" processes at the heart of integration, the portal is progressively expanded culminating in a highly integrated competence management system.  The implementation partner for the project: The Düsseldorf-based Persis consulting specialist, the p-manent GmbH. By as early as the end of 2010, applicant management at Stoebich will be interactive via the incorporation of its entire physical business presence. This will allow a candidate to upload a CV as positions are posted, all while the Persis applicant management system saves a structured record of relevant candidate data. This feature alone was only one of the decisive factors influencing the decision to introduce the new portal software from Persis to Stoebich. The benefits to customers are obvious. The candidate can apply much faster. For the personnel department, this means that as paper or e-mail applications and resumes arrive from outside the system, in just a few clicks, they are stored automatically as an applicant record in Persis. Moreover, the locations of all applications within the system are recorded electronically, which in turn saves time and above all money, as no company can afford extended processing times any longer.

The applicant management module will be followed by the personnel manager by the end of the year - the aim being to build mutually-accessible and standardized electronic employee files in an integrated HR template. As it stands today, a great deal of data is scattered throughout Stoebich's physical branches in different forms and in various formats. For optimal management and support however one must be able to obtain a constantly up-to-date picture of one's team. As file quality surpasses good, p-manent in tandem with Stoebich will implement additional processes in structured phases. The means in turn that the qualifications of staff play a major role once again. The Persis management training system involves all employees, managers and site managers in this process. Only highly skilled staff can take your enterprise to its leading role in the global marketplace.

Gunnar Detto, business and personnel manager of Stoebich Fire Protection, has gone so far as to define an additional goal for its staff work to be implementing the model underlying the Persis company map within his company. He adds, "this new and user friendly concept has convinced." The system classifies employee competencies  transparently according to their customary location in a "map" of the company. Employees, who are up for further education or perhaps a promotion, can be recognized quickly.  Employees are enabled to arrive at the new position with an improved understanding of its requirements. This is not only a quantitative - but also a qualitative process - based on company-wide competency model, which the customer defines with us. Persis is closely oriented on the practical concerns our customers consider key to their success in specific, yet diverse industries.
